Sue (“The Voice of Holden Jones”) – RIP

It is with considerable sadness that we announce the passing of our former Office Manager, Sue Ryan (more recently Willson).

Sue was the very first employee of Holden Jones back in 1995. Her first week consisted of putting desks together, arranging furniture, adding plants and constantly reassuring us that we were doing the right thing going out alone as Holden Jones.

Over the 19 years before her retirement she was the first point of contact at Holden Jones. Her instantly recognisable, professional, credible and welcoming tones were frequently praised by candidates and clients alike. Sue was a consummate professional with strong moral fibre who would do all she could to help anyone. She was a naturally kind, generous and wholly loyal individual – the like of which is all too rare these days.

She affectionately referred to us as “her boys” and would often cast us a look a mother gives her mischievous son when misbehaving. Those early days of Holden Jones created a family-like bond which can never be broken.

Sue, you will be sorely missed.

God bless

Greg and Leigh
